BOSTON, M.A., April 17, 2008 -- On the Visit Sierra Leone chat forum, frequented by many Sierra Leonean expats living in the US, UK and Canada:  http://forum.visitsierraleone.org/a-worthy-cause_topic2654_page1.html www.callstoafrica.com calling card company owner makes a generous pledge.  He writes, “My company is donating $50 upfront.. and making a pledge for a month.. or 2.. depends on how it goes..We will give 3.80 cents to SLVP for every NEW FIRST TIME customer that signs up and buys a $20 card @ www.callstoafrica.com.”  The President of SLVP, J. Albert Kamara responds,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, members of Sierra Leone Village Partnerships, and our people in Sierra Leone, I would like to thank you for supporting our cause. Your kind and immediate response strengthens our courage and hope that will eventually lead us to the success of our venture.

Your gift will help our people of Sierra Leone rebuild our country and their lives after eleven years of brutal war. In a couple weeks I will be heading out once again to our homeland to continue what we've started a year ago, the second phase of the school construction, and to assess other potential projects in other villages in Sierra Leone.

Visit our web site at www.slvp.org, as it will be updated periodically to keep our donors abreast of our progress. If you would like to know more about SLVP, please feel free to contact us. Thank you so very much.
